The website ednacollab.org (“Site”) is owned and operated by The eDNA Collaborative. The eDNA Collaborative can be contacted at ednacollab@uw.edu.

The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to inform users of our Site of the following:

By using our Site users agree they consent to:

What User Data We Collect
When you visit our Site, we only collect information you actively provide by filling out the “Contact Us” or “Publication Submission” forms or submitting a blog post. We may also collect this information through email and other types of communication. This information includes:

Why We Collect Your Data

· To build a network of researchers to share ideas and promote conversation.
· To strengthen communications to and between users regarding eDNA education, standards, technologies, and techniques
· To inform users of lectures, courses, conferences, jobs and other relevant information

Site Users
User data will be publicly shared with other Site users via “Participant Cards”. Participant Cards can be accessed via the Site’s network map and program pages.
Employees
We may disclose user data to any member of The eDNA Collaborative who reasonably needs access to user data to achieve the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy.
Other Disclosures
The eDNA Collaborative will not lease, sell or distribute your personal information to any third parties except in the following cases:
· If the law requires it
· If it is required for any legal proceeding
· To prove or protect our legal rights
Children
We do not knowingly collect or use personal data from children under 13 years of age. If we learn that we have collected personal data from a child under 13 years of age, the personal data will be deleted as soon as possible.

Restricting the Collection of your Personal Data
At some point, you might wish to restrict the use and collection of your personal data. If you have already agreed to share your information with us, feel free to contact us via email and we will be more than happy to change this for you.

This Privacy Policy may be amended from time to time in order to maintain compliance with the law and to reflect any changes to our data collection process. When we amend this Privacy Policy we will update the “Effective Date” at the top of this Privacy Policy.
